Neural Strategies Remote sensing Images captured by more than one sensor (satellite or airplane) and/or in distinct times could offer higher variability in spectral, spatial and temporal scales, and may give a more comprehensive view of the observed objects. However, in order to extract thematic maps from multi/hyper-spectral, multi-sensor, and multi-temporal remote sensed high-dimensional data, advanced and innovative techniques are required, for information representation and automatic discrimination In the last years innovative methods, not strictly statistical, have been proposed in literature, and among them neural networks strategies are very promising. New Neural and Neuro-fuzzy strategies have been proposed to solve the challenges posed by the new sensors remote sensing data. New neural tecniques have been developed with progress in the field of data-fusion and change-detection, and many applications including environment monitoring, risk managment, precision agriculture, etc.
Invited Speakers Call for papers: Only for this Special Session on Remote Sensing Application the deadline has been extended to April 16, 2008All contributions will be published in a proceeding volume by an international publisher. The committee will select the papers to propose for a special issue of an international journal. More detailed instructions and the On-Line Submission Form can be found in the submission section.
