From the first evidence of ultrafast control of magnetism by light, in 1996 by Beaurepaire [1], the field of ultrafast magnetism has exponentially grown, passing from an understanding of ultrafast phenomena to a nearly complete control of magnetism by light, such as All-Optical-Switching [2]. This drastically changed the understanding of light-matter interaction field [3]. RE-TM ferrimagnetic alloys such as GdFeCo and GdFe are widely studied, mainly for the presence of a compensation temperature Tm at which the two sublattices, antiferromagnetic coupled, exhibit a null net magnetization [4]. Furthermore, the presence of a superconducting element e.g. Nb combined with low Tm can open interesting and unexplored physics scenario: i.e. interplay of magnetic and superconductive effects, switching of magnetization and rise of superconductivity, etc. In this work, we present a preliminary study of the static and magnetization dynamic of GdFe/Nb by use of the magneto-optical Faraday effect and pump-probe technique in presence of an external magnetic field. 1] Beaurepaire E, Merle J-C, Daunois A and Bigot J-Y 1996, Ultrafast spin dynamics in ferromagnetic nickel, Phys.
