It has been revealed recently that non-Hermiticity enriches topological phases beyond the existing framework for Hermitian topological phases [1-6]. In this talk, I would like to report on our recent work on non-Hermitian topological phases [1-2,7-9]. I demonstrate that non-Hermiticity ramifies the celebrated Altland-Zirnbauer symmetry classification for insulators and superconductors. Novel semimetal phases intrinsic to non-Hermitian systems are also discussed in a systematic manner. Several examples of novel topological phases are presented. [1] K. Esaki, M. Sato, K. Hasebe, M.
